Tips To Lose Weight - 3 Pieces of Advice To Consider

We have all heard the saying that knowledge is power. Well in the world of fat loss and health, knowledge equals success. I am constantly being asked in and outside of work about tips to lose weight that people can apply to their daily lives. Here are 5 tips that you can add to your collection and hopefully bring about your health and fitness goals a bit faster.

1. Green Tea and Water - If you are serious about losing weight, these 2 will be the only drinks that you consume. It is important to keep hydrated in order to remain in peak health and the health benefits of green tea are unbelievable to say the least. Additionally, if you make this a habit, you will be staying away from the drinks that make us fatter, such as sodas, processed fruit juices and coffee. Yes, I did say coffee. The reason is because coffee has an acidifying effect on the blood, which will contribute to keeping you fat. The more acidic your blood is, the hard it will be to lose weight. An even more disturbing fact is that eventually your body will become dependent on coffee for energy, making you dependent on coffee.

2. Find a Training Partner - Now this doesn't have to be a personal trainer, although I would recommend using a trainer every now and then to ensure that you are staying on track and performing exercises correctly. Having a training partner is about having someone to share the burden of working out and being healthy with you. You are able to exchange exercise methods, recipes and tips to lose weight that the other person might not be aware of. Also, best of all, you are able to push each other to go beyond pain barriers in your training and have a reason not to let the other person down by actually showing up. Some people find this aspect even more important than self-motivation, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what gets us there.

3. Embrace the Colour Blue - This might sound crazy and I thought so too when I first heard this, but let me explain. Human beings react differently to different colours and the colour blue has been shown to act as an appetite suppressant. Think about every fast food restaurant that you have ever been in to: They never use the colour blue. They use colours such as red, yellow and orange because these colours have the effect of making a person feel rushed, anxious and ultimately hungry. Ask yourself, would you go to the beach on the weekend if the water was bright yellow and the sand was red? Do yourself a favour and try to incorporate this into your life. Purchase blue dinner plates, blue placemats and get a blue tablecloth. You have nothing to lose, right?

So now that you have even more methods in your arsenal of fat fighting knowledge, don't just sit there, but go out and do these things. Out of all of these tips to lose weight, the most beneficial is to have a training partner, as motivation is paramount. I hope that you all found this article informative and quite possibly interesting as well.
